We are seeking a versatile Electrician to provide essential maintenance and engineering support across these varied sectors. Key Responsibilities
- System Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform expert electrical fault finding and execute necessary repairs to ensure operational continuity.
- Infrastructure Installation: Manage the installation and ongoing maintenance of primary electrical infrastructure and control panels.
- Agricultural Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and service specialized equipment, including pumps, motors, and complex irrigation systems.
- Renewable Energy Management: Oversee the installation, monitoring, and servicing of solar power systems and backup generators.
- Multi-Sector Facility Work: Conduct general electrical maintenance for residential, commercial, and agricultural buildings.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to national regulations and safety standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete job cards and maintenance reports to track system health and repairs.
- Site Supervision: Supervise assistants and manage external contractors to ensure project standards are met.
- Emergency Standby: Participate in a standby roster for emergency after-hours call-outs as required.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician
- Proven experience with solar systems, backup power, pumps, and motors.
- General building maintenance experience; air-conditioning knowledge is a plus.
- Valid South African driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a rural environment.
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans; IsiZulu proficiency is highly advantageous.
- Computer literacy and a commitment to accurate reporting.
