They are seeking a dedicated Fitter and Turner to join their highly experienced team. Key Responsibilities:

• Machining & Fabrication: Expertly operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drilling machines to shape metal parts to precise specifications.
• Fitting & Assembly: Accurately assemble, fit, and install manufactured parts, machinery, and various sub-assemblies.
• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical faults, and perform necessary machinery overhauls.
• Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and diagrams to determine required layouts and specifications.
• Precision Measurement: Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure all parts meet exacting tolerances.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act while maintaining an organized workspace.

Requirements:

• Qualified fitter and Turner
• Proficiency in precision turning, milling, and operating various workshop machinery.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and engineering blueprints.
