About the role: The company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a leading group in the agricultural value chain. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on technician who is ready to transition from a traditional city-based industrial environment into the agricultural or packhouse sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and carrying out repairs to ensure the safe and reliable operation of equipment within a dynamic industrial packhouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduled Maintenance: Execute planned maintenance tasks to effectively reduce equipment downtime and extend the operational life of machinery.
• Mechanical Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and repair mechanical faults, specifically focusing on pneumatic and conveyor systems.
• System Fabrication and Retrofitting: Assemble and modify mechanical and electrical systems to enhance overall facility efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, including strict lockout/tagout procedures and industry regulations.
• Record Keeping and Inventory: Maintain precise maintenance records, reports, and accurate inventories of parts.
• Machinery Installation and Alignment: Install, dismantle, and align industrial machinery in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Routine Inspection and Testing: Perform regular inspections and testing to prevent equipment failures and ensure consistent operation.
• Quality Standards: Maintain high standards of workmanship across all technical and mechanical tasks.

• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
