About the Role:

The company provides products and services to the mining and steel industries across South and Southern Africa. They help improve processes and deal with challenges like energy shortages.

They work with international suppliers of furnace technology and use control systems for plants like rolling mills and furnaces.

The company is looking for a motivated individual, preferably early in their career, who is willing to learn. The successful candidate will be trained in testing and certification and will work closely with an engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• MV Substation Testing: Act as an assistant to the Engineer during the comprehensive testing of medium voltage substations.
• Electrical Installations: Execute various electrical installations required for diverse heavy industry projects.
• AutoCAD Documentation: Focus on the generation and continuous updating of technical electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Electrical Panel Fault Finding: Perform diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve faults within industrial electrical panels.

Requirements:

• Red Seal: Electrician.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge or experience with PLC systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively as required for site work.
