About the Role:

The company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join its team in Nigel, helping to maintain the machinery and fleet essential to its operations. In this role, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment where their expertise directly contributes to the consistency and character of the company’s world-class building materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Fleet Maintenance: Perform comprehensive mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet, including trucks, front-end loaders, tractors, and three-wheel forklifts.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues to ensure minimal disruption to production and logistics.
• Preventive Inspections: Conduct regular, scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance to uphold the reliability of all industrial equipment.
• Safety & Standard Compliance: Rigidly adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment for the entire team.

Requirements:

• Red Seal Diesel Mechanic qualification.
• A minimum of 10 years’ proven experience in a similar industrial or mechanical role.
• Age: 30 years or older.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in auto-electrical work is considered a significant advantage.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
• Must have own reliable transport to the site.
• Flexibility to work a shift rotation (2 weeks day shift, 2 weeks night shift) and perform. weekend maintenance as required.
