This is not a conventional factory maintenance role, this position offers exposure to complex drilling systems, advanced hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, heavy engineering environments, and global mining operations.

About the Role
The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding, repair, and optimisation of highly specialised drilling and engineering equipment across workshop and operational site environments.
The role involves both mechanical and electrical maintenance responsibilities, with a strong focus on:
- hydraulic systems
- pneumatic systems
- equipment reliability
- breakdown response
- preventative maintenance
- drilling equipment performance
- operational continuity
The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance, engineering, and operational teams to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with OEM and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on specialised drilling and engineering equipment
- Conduct breakdown fault finding and implement corrective actions efficiently
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform preventative and condition-based maintenance activities
- Ensure equipment reliability and minimise operational downtime
Installation & Commissioning
- Install and assemble machinery according to OEM and engineering specifications
- Conduct equipment alignment, testing, and commissioning activities
- Support operational readiness of drilling equipment and machinery
Fault Finding & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults
- Conduct technical troubleshooting on operational equipment and systems
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Operational Support
- Support workshop and site-based operational activities
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams
- Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and operational standards
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and engineering standards
- Maintain maintenance records and technical documentation accurately
- Ensure safe work practices in workshop and operational environments
Requirements / Qualifications
- Trade Test Certificate: Millwright (Red Seal)
- Minimum 3–5 years post-trade experience
- Strong hydraulic systems experience is ESSENTIAL
- Experience within mining, drilling, heavy engineering, or related industrial environments
- Experience with mechanical and electrical fault finding
- Experience on complex machinery and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
