About the Role:

This company is seeking a motivated Junior Millwright to join its hands-on team involved in the design, build, installation, and commissioning of industrial machinery for the food processing and manufacturing sectors. This is more than just a maintenance role; the successful candidate will be involved in building machines from the ground up and will gain practical exposure to machine builds, fault-finding, and troubleshooting within a fast-paced engineering environment.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an individual who is early in their career and looking to develop their technical skills while gaining broad experience across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Assembly and Commissioning: Assist in the physical assembly, building, and final commissioning of industrial machines.
• Multi-Disciplinary Fault-Finding: Perform pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical fault-finding during the build and testing phases.
• On-Site Installation Support: Support machine installations and commissioning at various customer sites.
• Component Integration: Work directly with motors, sensors, and basic control systems.
• Field Travel: Travel to customer sites as required for installation or technical support.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a small team across multiple engineering projects.
• Advanced Technical Exposure: Gain experience in panel wiring and entry-level PLC-related tasks.

Requirements:

• Trade Tested Millwright qualification.
• 0–2 years of practical experience.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong work ethic.
• Own reliable transport and a willingness to travel to sites as required.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take initiative.
