About the Role:

Join a well-established commercial vehicle repair center that has been a trusted name in the industry since 2011. This role is situated in a fast-paced workshop environment specializing in high-quality maintenance and out-of-warranty servicing for heavy-duty diesel vehicles, particularly Mercedes-Benz trucks. We are looking for a dedicated professional who prioritizes minimal downtime for clients and upholds a 100% workmanship guarantee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Diagnostic Analysis: Perform comprehensive computer diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to accurately identify issues before repairs begin.
• Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine servicing, chassis lubrication, and thorough inspections on both truck and trailer combinations to ensure maximum vehicle reliability and compliance.
• Major Mechanical Repairs: Execute high-quality repairs and in-house rebuilds of engines, gearboxes, and differentials to keep heavy-duty vehicles in peak mechanical condition.
• Emergency Breakdown Assistance: Participate in a rotating standby roster to provide 24-hour roadside assistance and recovery, ensuring clients' trucks are returned to the road as quickly as possible.
• Administrative & Safety Compliance: Maintain accurate job cards for all tasks performed and ensure every repair adheres to strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Red Seal Diesel Mechanic
• 0- 3 years’ hands-on experience in diesel engine repairs.
• Specific experience working on commercial vehicles or heavy-duty trucks.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
