About the Role:
An established electrical engineering firm is seeking a junior to intermediate professional to join its team, specializing in project-driven turnkey solutions for the mining and agricultural industries.
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in both a professional workshop environment and on-site, working alongside experienced engineers to deliver high-quality, sustainable electrical systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Panel Assembly and Wiring: Wire and assemble various control and MCC panels based strictly on technical drawings.
- Schematic Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics and intricate design drawings.
- System Diagnostics: Perform comprehensive fault finding on electrical and control systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Field Installations: Assist with site-based installations, system commissioning, and the resolution of equipment breakdowns.
- Industrial Equipment Management: Work directly with motors, control circuits, and a variety of industrial electrical systems.
- Automation Development: Gain practical exposure to PLC and SCADA systems while assisting with technical troubleshooting.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work meets rigorous safety standards and operational compliance protocols.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal Electrician).
- 1–3 years of practical experience in an electrical or industrial environment.
- Essential hands-on experience in panel building.
- Previous exposure to PLC and SCADA systems is considered a distinct advantage.
- A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle are required.
- A strong willingness to travel and work on-site whenever necessary.
