About the role:

An established, family-owned agricultural operation with a century-long history is seeking a dedicated Millwright to support its irrigation and nut farming operations. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong technical skills and a genuine passion for farm life.

The ideal candidate is someone who has always had a connection to farming or is eager to return to the agricultural environment, valuing hands-on work, responsibility, and long-term involvement in a working farm.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical and Solar Systems Management: Perform technical work and maintenance on 220V and 380V electrical systems, as well as specialized solar power installations.
• System Automation and Control: Manage and troubleshoot advanced automation components, including Star/Delta starters, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Irrigation and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the installation and repair of water pumps and flow meters, while ensuring the integrity of irrigation pipelines.
• Technical Fabrication: Apply welding skills for various maintenance tasks and structural repairs across the farm.
• Operational Oversight and Record Keeping: Handle day-to-day management and problem-solving while maintaining accurate administrative records and documentation.
• General Agricultural Support: Provide assistance with broader farm operations when required, such as planting, harvesting, and general labor.

Requirements and Personal Traits

• Red seal Millwright
• Must possess a valid driver’s license (PDP).
• Ability to work weekends and after-hours every two weeks as needed.
