About the Role: The successful candidate will join a trusted service provider in the printing industry, known for its technical expertise and reliable long-term support. The Junior Field Service Technician will assist with the servicing, maintenance, and installation of high-performance printing equipment, including digital and offset printing solutions. The role focuses on fault-finding and hardware repairs while providing the opportunity to develop specialised technical knowledge in machinery calibration. The incumbent will work closely with internal teams and provide both on-site and remote technical support to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Assist with troubleshooting, fault-finding, and performing minor repairs on printing equipment.
- Installation Support: Provide hands-on support during the installation and commissioning of machinery.
- Routine Servicing: Carry out scheduled equipment servicing tasks under professional supervision.
- Performance Monitoring: Support diagnostic activities to ensure all machinery maintains optimal function.
- Calibration Learning: Develop the skills necessary to calibrate and fine-tune equipment according to print quality standards.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service tasks, faults, and resolutions.
- Customer Assistance: Provide technical support to clients and internal teams both on-site and through remote diagnostics.
- Service Quality: Uphold high professional service standards during all interactions and site visits.
Requirements:
- Millwright Qualification
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused with good interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
