About the Role
Master Drilling is a South African-founded global leader in drilling technology and mining services, operating across more than 29 countries worldwide.
We are seeking a Technical Training Facilitator to support the development of artisans and operational teams through the design, development and delivery of technical training programmes. This role is ideal for an experienced Millwright or Electrician who enjoys sharing knowledge, mentoring others and helping develop technical skills within a world-class mining environment.
The position is based in Fochville and will require travel to operational sites as needed. A strong background in Advanced Hydraulics will be highly advantageous.
While Assessor and Moderator qualifications are beneficial, they are not essential. We are primarily looking for a candidate with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for training and developing people.
Key Responsibilities
Training Development: Design, develop and maintain technical training material, learner guides and assessment tools.
Skills Development: Facilitate classroom-based and practical technical training interventions.
Technical Facilitation: Conduct electrical and mechanical training on-site according to operational requirements and equipment configurations.
Assessments & Moderation: Conduct outcome-based assessments and support moderation activities where required.
Training Administration: Maintain accurate training records, learner progress reports and training documentation.
Reporting: Prepare and submit formal and informal reports on training progress, skills development and training effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor training outcomes and implement improvements to training content and delivery methods.
Training Provider Management: Assist with the evaluation and monitoring of external training providers where required.
Requirements
• Qualified Millwright or Electrician (Trade Test Required)
• Strong technical background within mining, industrial or heavy engineering environments
• Advanced Hydraulics experience highly advantageous
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Passion for developing and mentoring artisans
• Ability to transfer technical knowledge effectively
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Assessor and Moderator qualifications advantageous but not essential
• Valid driver's licence
