About the Role:

This organization is an established supplier of UV liquid disinfection systems, providing specialised commissioning, maintenance, and technical support to industrial and municipal customers across Southern Africa. The organization is looking for a practical, technically minded Site Service Technician or millwright to join its technical team, supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UV disinfection equipment on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Commissioning: Install, commission, and maintain UV disinfection systems on customer sites.
• Fault Finding and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain service reports and technical documentation for completed work.
• Customer and Site Support: Work with multi-disciplinary teams on industrial sites and assist customers with technical support and maintenance needs.
• Spare Parts Handling: Inspect, handle, package, and ship spare parts as required.
• Safety Compliance: Promote and adhere to HSE procedures and site safety requirements, including site inductions and medical examinations where required.
• Travel: Nationally and occasionally internationally, including after-hours or weekend work when required.

Requirements:

• Red Seal: Millwright.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including to industrial and mining sites.
• N4-N6 technical qualification, or an electrical/mechanical trade qualification.
• Field service or industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, safety-conscious mindset, and comfortable working independently on-site.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Water treatment experience is beneficial but not essential — product-specific training is provided.
