Through its Engineering, Fabrication, and Assembly divisions, the company delivers innovative manufacturing and engineering solutions to a diverse client base.
The successful candidate will join the manufacturing team in Springs and be responsible for the manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures to ensure optimal machine performance, production efficiency, and product quality. This role offers the opportunity to work in a technically advanced manufacturing environment while contributing to the continuous improvement of production processes and tooling systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Tooling Fabrication & Maintenance: Manufacture, repair, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support ongoing production operations.
- Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications for precise tool construction.
- Precision Machining: Execute precision fitting, grinding, and assembly work using conventional toolroom machinery.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance on all tooling equipment.
- Production Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve die-related production issues to minimize machine downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufactured and repaired tooling meets rigorous production and quality standards.
- Operational Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve overall tooling performance and efficiency.
- Safety & Administration: Maintain a clean, safe environment and keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements
- Must be a Qualified Tool and Die Maker
- Relevant experience within a manufacturing environment, specifically with press tools, moulds, and production tooling.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and perform precise measurements.
- Proven fault-finding abilities and the capacity to work independently under pressure.
- A valid driver’s license and access to your own reliable vehicle are required.
