About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Millwright to join a Fast Moving Consumer Goods manufacturing environment producing high-quality extruded pet food for dogs, cats, and fish.

In this role, you will perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance across production equipment, including screw conveyors, bucket elevators, blowers, mixers, extruders, dryers, and packaging scales. You will also conduct fault-finding and handle electrical component replacements for contactors, isolators, relays, and PLC components, alongside managing scale calibrations, flow meter settings, and PID settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Maintenance: Perform planned and breakdown mechanical maintenance on all plant machinery, including screw conveyors, bucket elevators, blowers, mixers, extruders, dryers, and packaging scales.
• Electrical Maintenance & Instrumentation: Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and replacements of contactors, isolators, relays, and PLC components, while managing scale calibrations, flow meter settings, and PID settings.
• Expansion Projects: Assist with the setup and implementation of expansion projects during new product developments.
• Safety & Quality Audit Upgrades: Execute continuous improvement upgrades driven by Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHSE) and food safety audit findings.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must hold a Red Seal Certificate in the Millwright trade.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Must be able-bodied and physically fit.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift system with scheduled off days.
• Previous relevant experience is an added advantage, though comprehensive training will be provided.
